Jose Mourinho: Here's what I think about Man United stars Ibrahimovic, Pogba and Rooney

 Wayne Rooney and Zlatan Ibrahimovic

JOSE MOURINHO has revealed his first impressions of the Manchester United stars he now coaches at Old Trafford.

And, perhaps surprisingly, he still refers to captain Wayne Rooney as a kid as he's still so humble.

Speaking of the England captain: "He's a great kid. I still call him a kid. He doesn't behave like a star.
"He doesn't behave like the top scorer in the England national team. He doesn't behave like the captain. He's just a very nice kid."

On record summer signing Paul Pogba, the Portuguese boss claims he's one of the cheeriest players he's ever met.

"One of the happiest guys I've found in football. A guy in love with life, with who he is.
"He enjoys being the star. A great, great boy."

David de Gea was playing for rival side Atletico Madrid when the pair first crossed paths, and despite his slight stature, Mourinho says he could see the talent in the Spain international.

"I met him when I was in Real Madrid when he was playing in Atletico Madrid's goal.

I thought immediately that skinny guy is fantastic."
