Firmino has become an integral player for the Reds since joining the club in 2015 and has contributed seven goals in 24 appearances this season.
The 25-year-old put in a lively performance at Old Trafford on Sunday as Jurgen Klopp’s side held United to a 1-1 draw.
Reflecting on Firmino’s performance, Henry told Sky Sports on Monday Night Football: ‘He is Jurgen Klopp’s favourite player.
‘Not because he has the quality of a [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic but what he does in midfield is outstanding.
‘Yesterday, I was in awe of what he was doing – at times it was too much. The way he bends his run forces United to play it back.’
